Miriam Gray Roberts

Miriam Gray Roberts, 74, of Florence, SC passed away on Saturday, September 8, 2018. Mrs. Roberts was born in Hampton, SC a daughter of the late Wyman Gray and Addie Jarrell Gray.She had been a secretary in the construction business and was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church.She loved Shopping, traveling with her friends and football games.Miriam was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Gene Gray and Wyman “Bo” Gray, and sisters, Bernice Altman and Virginia “Punk” Roberts. Surviving are her husband, Charles Carrol Roberts of Florence; children, Carmen Roberts (Layne) Winfield, Shelly R. (Nathan) Lloyd and Wendi R. Irving; grandchildren, Meredith Herndon, Reid Herndon, Lauren Irving, Parker Winfield, Addie Lloyd, Thomas Lloyd and Sarah Rachel Lloyd. The family asks that if you plan on sending flowers for Mrs. Roberts, please send one of her favorite plants (hydrangeas, iris, stargazer lilies and dogwoods).They would love to plant them in her yard in remembrance of her and have you be a part of it. The family will receive friends from 4 – 6 PM Thursday, September 20, 2018 at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home with a memorial service to follow at 6:00 PM in the funeral home chapel.
