Milton Dale Gamble

Milton Dale Gamble, Sr., 82, of Florence, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, February 24, 2014. Mr. Gamble was born in Crab Orchard, WV, a son of the late Donald French Gamble and Violet Spangler Gamble.He was a charter member of Unity Baptist Church. Mr. Gamble was a Veteran of the US Army, having served during the Korean Conflict.He retired as an assistant pulp mill superintendent from Stone Container Corporation. In addition to his parents, Mr. Gamble is preceded in death by his wife, Bertha Vinson Gamble; his siblings, Gene Gamble, Bob Gamble, Jenny Smith and Judy Garrison. Surviving are his children, Milton Dale (Sheila) Gamble, Jr., Wanda (Bill) Harrell, and Freddy (Melissa) Gamble, all of Florence; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; his brother, Dennis (Mary Alice) Gamble of Laurel Hill, FL and his sister, Patricia (Charles) Osborne of Fort Valley, GA. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, February 27, 2014, at Unity Baptist Church.Entombment will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens Mausoleum directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Family will receive friends from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm on Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Unity Baptist Church, 2990 South Pamplico Highway, Florence, SC29505.
