Mildred Phillips Bradley, the daughter of the late Elisha and Bessie Phillips was born October 8, 1931 in Florence, SC.She departed this life after an extended illness on Saturday, February 2, 2019. Mrs. Bradley attended the public schools of Florence County and graduated from South Carolina State College.She received her Master’s Degree in business education from Columbia University in New York.Mrs. Bradley married the late Randolph Bradley and from that union they were blessed with one child, Monica, who preceded her in death.She was an active member of Cumberland United Methodist Church for many years.She served on the church finance committee, a member of the United Methodist Women and served in other church organizations.Mrs. Bradley began her teaching career in Marion School District 2.She was a revered business education teacher at Alston High School in Summerville, SC and retired from Wilson High School after more than 30 years of service. Left to cherish precious memories are her brother, Willie Lee Phillips; sister, Debra Phillips Parnell; nephew and caregiver, Ronald Wright; granddaughter; two great-grandsons; two sisters-in-law, Bessie Bradley and Ruth Phillips, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Memorials may be made to Cumberland United Methodist Church, 163 S. Coit Street, Florence, SC29501. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 pm Thursday, February 7, 2019 at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Friday at Cumberland United Methodist Church.Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.
