MICHAEL SPENCER SINGLETARY EFFINGHAM, SC MICHAEL SPENCER SINGLETARY, 33, of Effingham, SC passed away Saturday, October 19, 2013 from injuries sustained in an accident. Mr. Singletary was born in Florence, SC a son of Jasper Spencer Singletary, Jr. and Carol Gaymon Purvis.He had attended Freedom and Liberty Worship Center in Florence and was a 1998 graduate of South Florence High School. Surviving are his beloved daughters, Briana Singletary and Clarissa Singletary, both of Florence; father of Effingham; mother and step-father, Jerry Purvis of Darlington; sister, Stephanie (Woody) Watford of Hopkins; brother, Matthew Singletary of Florence; nephews, Stephen and Jacob Watford, both of Hopkins; maternal grandmother, Vergie Gaymon of Evergreen. Memorials may be made to Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home to assist the family. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, October 24, 2013 in the Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home chapel.Burial will follow at Elim Baptist Church Cemetery.
