Michael Todd "Tex" Johnson

Michael Todd “Tex” Johnson,47, of Florence, passed away on Friday, August 28, 2020. Mr. Johnson was born a son of the late Gaye Barfield Johnson and Tex Johnson.He was a product service manager with the Hillman Group.He was a devoted Gamecock and Dallas Cowboy fan. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Sheila Faye Johnson. He is survived by his step-sons, Jonathan Tiller, Eric Tiller, Weldon Gainey and Blake Gainey, all of Florence; six grandchildren; sister, Sandra Oliver (Jonathan) of Florence; aunt and uncle, Jim and Agnes Bundy of Bennettsville; two beloved nieces, Christina Oliver Harris (Chris) and Cassidy Oliver (Dustin), both of Florence; and best friend, James Langston, of Florence. Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 PM on Thursday, September 3, 2020, at the Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel.Although the family will not be present, friends may sign the register book from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM on Wednesday, September 2, 2020, at the funeral home. Due to the current COVID-19 concerns, social distancing will be observed.
