Michael Boyd Camak, 69, of Timmonsville, SC, passed away June 23, 2025.
He was the son of Mary Helen Gillmore Camak and the late Thomas Cliffton Camak.
Michael dedicated 39 years to the food service industry, earning "Salesman of the Year" honors nine times. A respected professional, he mentored and trained numerous salespeople throughout his career. A devoted member of First Baptist Church in Columbia, SC, he consistently tithed and supported the church. Beyond his professional life, Mike was a passionate motocross competitor, winning the South Carolina state championship six times. He also made history as the first racer in South Carolina, to receive a factory sponsorship from Suzuki. He was also an avid hunter and outdoorsman who raised many hunting hounds. One of which went on to win the All American Fox Trials title in 1995.
Surviving are his sons, Michael (Ashley) Camak, Gil (Linda) Camak, and Matthew (Kelsi) Camak; grandchildren, Ella Gray Camak, Porter Hunnicutt, Woods Camak, Björn Camak, Kylie Camak, Keller Camak, and Cora Camak; sisters, Laura (Will) McKay, Susan (Tim) Carter, Rebecca (Raymond) Rollins; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 PM Friday, June 27, 2025, at Compassion Church with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 PM.
Burial will take place at Florence Memorial Gardens Cemetery following the service.
