Melville R. Libby

Melville R. Libby, 76, of Myrtle Beach, SC passed away on Monday, March 28, 2022. Mr. Libby was born in Biddeford, Maine a son of the late Clarence Libby and Lillian Talmadge Libby.He was a veteran of the US Air Force.He was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Murrells Inlet, SC and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Patricia Ann Helfrich Libby; sisters, Carol Downey and Thelma Gilbert. Surviving are his son, Brian (Stephanie) Libby of Milton, Vermont; daughter, Jennifer Libby of Londonderry, New Hampshire; grandchildren, Cassandra Libby, Breanna Libby, Daniel Libby, Trevor Barth, Owen Barth, and Noah Barth. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon Friday, April 1, 2022 at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home with the service to be held at 12:00 noon in the chapel.Burial will follow in the Florence National Cemetery.
