MELBA DIANE WOOD TUMLIN FLORENCE, SC Melba Diane Wood Tumlin, 65, of Florence, passed away on Friday, November 18, 2016 at McLeod Regional Medical Center after an illness. Mrs. Tumlin was born in Birmingham, AL, daughter of the late Raymond Pinkney Wood, the late Dearleen Amick Wood Mashburn and her surviving step-father, Houston P. Mashburn.She was a graduate of Samford University of Birmingham, AL, retired as Office Manager of the Pathology Lab at McLeod Regional Medical Center.She was a member of First Baptist Church of Florence and the Prom-O-Neighbors square dance club. Surviving are her husband, Richard Randall Tumlin of Florence; daughters, Ashley Paige Tumlin (Coleman, II) Moody of Florence and Amanda Kaye Tumlin (Tom, III) McManus of Lamar; brothers, Larry Ray Wood of Warrior, AL and Ronald Douglas Wood of Guntersville, AL; sister, Sandra Gail Hasting of Mobile, AL and her seven grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Monday at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, November, 22, 2016 in the Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel.Burial will follow in the Florence National Cemetery.
