Marynell M. Turner

MaryNell M. Turner, 76, of Effingham, passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2019, surrounded by her family. Mrs. Turner was born a daughter of the late Doris Oakley Munn and Woodrow Munn, Sr. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Joe Turner; son, Stephen Lester Turner; sisters, Maudene Holloman, Elsie Keck and Edna Coleman; and brothers, Woodrow “Buddy” Munn, Jr. and Robert “Pee Wee” Munn. Mrs. Turner is survived by her son, Joseph Turner (Becky) of Effingham; two grandchildren, Stephen Denson (Amanda) and Courtney Turner Taylor (Justin); brother, James Munn of Darlington; sisters, Susie Norton of Effingham, June Coker (Legrand) of Turbeville, Dianne Munn of Effingham, Cathy Weaver (Legrand) of Effingham, Sandra Turner of Aiken and Patsy Anderson (Andy) of Darlington; and three special nieces, Rebecca Lawrimore, Elaine Stone and Miriam Carter. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, June 9, 2019, at the Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel.Burial will follow at Lebanon Cemetery.
