Mary Bacot Prosser

Mary Bacot Prosser, 88, of Effingham, passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2019. Mrs. Prosser was born a daughter of the late Louise Frances Gray Bacot and George Richard Bacot.She was a member of Elim Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Linwood Prosser, and son-in-law, Brian Reid Johnson. Mrs. Prosser is survived by her son, George Richard Prosser (Lucy) of Effingham; daughter, Carol P. Johnson of Ocean Isle Beach, NC; grandchildren, Melissa Roberts (Dave), Grady Johnson (Karen), Andrew Johnson and Michael Prosser (Beth); eight great-grandchildren; and sister, Dorothy B. Collins. Graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, July 1, 2019, at Elim Baptist Church Cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
