Mary Cantrell Neal

Mary Cantrell Neal, 92, of Florence, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, July 18, 2020. Mrs. Neal was born in Simpsonville, SC, the daughter of the late Kate Hinton Cantrell and Harold Banks Cantrell.She was a retired service clerk from Fiber Industries, a member of Leatherman Senior Citizens Association and a member of Dawsey United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, William L. Neal, Jr.; sons, Stephen Cantrell Neal and William Harold Neal; brothers, Milton Cantrell and Bob Cantrell; and sister-in-law, Peggy Cantrell. Mrs. Neal is survived by her sons, William L. “Trey” Neal, III, Voddy Neal and Frank Neal (Renee), all of Florence, SC; daughters, Janice Neal and Mary Kate Neal, both of Williamston, SC and Kathy Hicks (Raymond) and Lisa Hall (Jeff), both of Florence, SC; eighteen grandchildren; thirty-three great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and sister-in-law, Betty Cantrell of Simpsonville, SC. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, July 22, 2020, at the Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be private at Florence National Cemetery.Due to the current COVID-19 concerns, social distancing will be observed. Family will receive friends from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Tuesday, July 21, 2020, at the funeral home.For those not wishing to attend visitation, you may come by the funeral home from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM on Tuesday to pay your respects and sign the register, even though the family will not be present.
