Mary Jo Clark Moon, 87, of Pamplico, SC, passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2025.
Mrs. Moon was born in Canton, GA to the late Mary Manus Clark and Joseph Clark.
She was a hardworking and mischievous spirit, known for her boundless love as a devoted wife, mother, and Maw Maw. A creative soul, she found joy in writing and singing her own music. Her voice graced the church choir for many years, and she lovingly guided young hearts as a Sunday school teacher at Milford Baptist Church. After retiring, she continued to serve her church family as the dedicated church secretary. Her faith, humor, and deep love for her family and community leave a lasting legacy.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Billy James Moon, and sisters, Joyce Roach and Renee Gore.
Surviving are her son, James Barry (Donna) Moon; granddaughters, Brittany (Matthew) Smith, and Kara (Andrew) Bates; great grandchildren, Elloree Smith, Lydia Smith, Anderson Smith, Olivia Bates, and Luna Bates.
The family will receive friends Friday, May 23, 2025 from 12:00-1:00 PM at Carmicheal Funeral Home in Smyrna, GA with a chapel service to follow at 1:00 PM.
Burial will be at Georgia Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery.
