Mary Evelyn Gray Mckissick

Mary Evelyn Gray McKissick, 80, of Florence passed away on Friday, May 20, 2016, at her residence. Mrs. McKissick was born in Effingham, a daughter of the late Corrine Broach Gray and Comer B. Gray.She was a seamstress and a member of West Florence Church of God. Mrs. McKissick was a loving mother and grandmother and a wonderful wife.God had a bouquet and he needed a rose to finish it out. Surviving are her husband of 62 years, Herbert F. McKissick; daughters, Patricia (Jerry) Capps and Barbara (Danny) Conner, both Florence; sisters, Nancy (Tommy) McGee of Effingham, Loretta (Marion) Passailaique of Summerville and Esther Brooks of Beaufort; and grandson, Dr. Jeremy Capps of Cincinnati. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, C. B. Gray, Larry Gray, Ralph Gray and Tommy Gray and sisters, Irene Jump and Christine Altman. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 22, 2016, in the Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens.
