MARY LOUISE MCCLELLAN GREENSBORO, NC Mary Louise McClellan died December 27, 2014 after a long illness in Greensboro, N.C. at the age of 93. Mary is survived by her son Robert McClellan and her daughter-in-law, Paulette McClellan of Greensboro, NC; 3 grandchildren: Joshua Finocchario of Denver, CO; Amber Finocchario of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; and Tyler Daniels of Greenville, SC; her niece, Libby Fleming of Seneca, SC and her cousin, Patricia Felder and her husband, Dr. William Felder of Myrtle Beach, SC. Mary was preceded in death by her loving husband of 48 years, Archibald J. McClellan of Florence, SC, and her parents; Robert and Ruby Fussell of Florence, SC. Mary was born on September 1, 1921 in Florence. After graduating high school she worked for the Florence Chamber of Commerce until her marriage to Archie in 1950. She then settled into the role of homemaker as a devoted and loving wife and mother. She was an active and dedicated member of Emanuel Baptist Church and later Calvary Baptist Church, volunteering for numerous positions. Always kind, supportive, and generous, her gentle demeanor and charm earned her many friends in Florence. Mary’s first love and priority, always, was taking care of her husband and son. She also loved cooking, walking, reading, and yard work. Visitation will be Friday, January 2, 2015 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Stoundenmire-Dowling Funeral Home, Florence, SC. Services will be held Saturday, January 3rd at 11:00 am at Calvary Baptist Church Florence, SC. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery Florence, SC.
