Mary Louise Steen Greene Effingham, SC Mary Louise Steen Greene, 72, died Saturday, October 09, 2010 at her residence after a brief illness. Mrs. Greene was born in Darlington Co., SC., a daughter of the late Mary Outlaw Johnson and Otis Steen. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens Cemetery. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 Grandchildren, Chris Humphrey, who died January 11, 2010 and Ric Greene, who died September 01, 2010; 1 brother, Ervin Steen. Surviving are her devoted husband of 56 years, H.C. "Chuck" Greene of Effingham; 4 sons, Charles Ray Greene of Effingham, Ricky (Kathleen) Greene of Charleston, Gene Greene of Effingham and Wayne Greene of Florence; 2 daughters, Rosemary (Richard) Lindsey of Savannah, Ga., and Jennifer Greene of Effingham; 7 grandchildren, Jason Greene, Blaine John, Corey Greene, Meghan Greene, Hannah Greene, Jonathan Greene and Alexis Carraway; 6 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers, Jimmy (Patsy) Steen of Garden City, William (Katherine) Steen and Tommy (Barbara) Steen both of Hartsville; extended family members are, Gayle Greene of Effingham, Melissa Greene and Wesley Matthews both of Florence. The family will receive friends from 6 - 8 p.m. Monday at the Funeral Home.
