Mary Louise Cockfield Harrelson

Mary Louise Cockfield Harrelson, 96, of Florence, passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2015. Mrs. Harrelson was born in Darlington County, SC, a daughter of the late Charles Lee King and Lottie Mabelle Jackson King.She worked with Life of Virginia and retired in 1976 after over thirty years of service. Mrs. Harrelson was a member of the Tea & Topic Literary Club, the Plant & Pluck Garden Club, the U.T.U. Railroad Auxiliary and the Eastern Star #278.She was a member of First Baptist Church for over fifty years and attended the Gladys Mozingo Sunday School Class. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husbands, John Washington “JW” Cockfield and Jenevia Kelly Harrelson and her daughter, Barbara Ann Cockfield. Surviving are her daughter, Mettie (Tim) Taylor of Florence; grandchildren, Jody Melissa (Paul) Allen and Bradley Scott (Debbie) Taylor; and great-grandchildren, John Taylor, Austin Taylor, Jackson Young and Aaron Taylor. Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 16, 2015, at Mount Hope Cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 300 S.
