MARY E. HURST FLORENCE, SC Mary E. Hurst, 87, of Florence, passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2016 in a Florence hospital after an illness. Mrs. Hurst was born in Florence, SC a daughter of the late Clarence Olin Tilton and Leatha Idell Sauls Tilton.She was a nurse for the Folk Convalescent Home and a member of the Florence Baptist Temple. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marion Allen Hurst and sisters, Ester Steen, Thelma Coward and Ruth Bailey. Surviving are her son, Craig (Christine) Hurst of Florence; sister, Grace Creel of Florence and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, June 27, 2016 at the Florence Baptist Temple.Entombment will follow in the Florence Memorial Gardens Mausoleum directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
