MARY ELIZABETH IRBY LEWIS FLORENCE, SC MARY ELIZABETH IRBY LEWIS, 84, of Florence, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, November 13, 2012. Mrs. Lewis was born in Hartsville, SC a daughter of the late James Franklin Irby and Martha Pearl McGee Irby.She was a pianist, organist and homemaker.She was a member of Northgate Baptist Church where she was a member of the Mary Lewis Sunday School Class, a Sunday School teacher and a Vacation Bible School director. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William A. "Bill" Lewis and by a daughter, Margie Strickland. Surviving are her daughter, Barbara L. (Jack) Rogers of Florence; sons, William A. "Bill" (Kay) Lewis, Stephen F. Lewis and Tony Ray Lewis, all of Florence and Richard Wayne "Ricky" (Kelly) Lewis of Bennettsville; grandchildren, Johnny (Rhonda) Rogers, Tammy (Larry) Edwards, Alex (Casey) Lewis, Matt (Susan) Lewis, Ryan (Wendy) Lewis, Joey Strickland, Stephanie (Jason) Denham, Brandon Hurst, Wes (Mary) Lewis and Summer Lewis, all of Florence, Wendy (Travis) Campbell of Covington, LA, Will Lewis of Savannah, GA and Katie Lewis of Myrtle Beach; seventeen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sister, Zonnie Laveta (Pete) Lewis of Florence; sister-in-law, Julia Ann Lewis Strawn of Florence and her special friend and caregiver, Stacie Craft of Florence. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, November 15, 2012 at Florence Memorial Gardens directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
