Mary Elizabeth Church Cox

Mary Elizabeth Church Cox, 74, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2014, at a local hospital. Mrs. Cox was born in Marion County, a daughter of the late Monroe Church and Grace Collins Church.She was previously the owner of The Gift Nook and the China Shop. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Helen Wallace. Surviving are her husband of fifty four years, Douglas W. Cox; her children, Danny (Mary) Cox and Diane (DeLeon) Lee, both of Timmonsville, SC; her grandchildren, Christopher Cox, Rebekah (Robert) Cox Powell, Kendell Cox and Lannah Cox; her great-grandchild, Evan Cox; and her siblings, Billie Joyce Hayes, Gayle Hines, Roger Church, Ernest Church and Marie Morse. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, February 26, 2014, at Florence Memorial Gardens Chapel.Entombment will follow in the mausoleum directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
