Mary Elizabeth Hutchinson Ballentine

Mary Elizabeth Hutchinson Ballentine, 86, of Florence, SC, passed away on Tuesday, December 29, 2020. Mrs. Ballentine had previously worked at a bank and had also worked for many years as the manager of Trailways Bus Terminal. She retired as manager of the Sixth Postal Credit Union.Mrs. Ballentine was an avid Gamecock fan and was a member of the Gamecock Club for over 50 years. She is preceded in death by husband, George “Jeep” Perry Ballentine. Mrs. Ballentine is survived by sisters-in-law, Vera Dukes of Aiken and Lauretta O’Keefe of Matthews; special friends, Pat Byrd, Pat McCants and Billie Stallings and numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, January 3, 2021, at Mount Hope Cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
