MARY MARGARET EVANS BYRD FLORENCE, SC Mary Margaret Evans Byrd, 62, of Florence, passed away on Friday, January 27, 2017. Mrs. Byrd was born in Florence Co., SC a daughter of the late Archie Evans and Lucille Filyaw Evans.She was an accountant and had attended Abundant Life Church, Gilead Free Will Baptist Church and Tabernacle Free Will Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Elwood John Evans and Jimmy Evans; sister, Kathleen Evans Ard and grandchild, Austin Hunter Sauls. Surviving are her daughters, Lucy Dawn Evans (George) Prosser of Effingham and Elizabeth Deas Sauls of Florence; brothers, Archie Ray (Shannon) Evans, Tommy (Sandra) Evans, both of Effingham and Randy (Angie) Evans of Coward; sisters, Judy (Alan) Hatchell and Caroline “Peggy” (Jimmy) Tisdale, both of Florence and Vivian (C.C.) Bridges of Ellenboro, NC; sisters-in-law, Janet Evans of Scranton and Linda Evans of Florence and a brother-in-law, Edward Ard of Effingham. Memorials may be made to McLeod Hospice House, PO Box 100551, Florence, SC29502. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 PM Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday in the Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel.Entombment will be held Monday at 10:00 AM in the Mount Hope Mausoleum.
