Mary "Beth" Elizabeth Meggs

Mary “Beth” Elizabeth Palmer Meggs, 41, of Florence, SC, passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2014, at her residence. Mrs. Meggs was born in Florence, SC, the daughter of Betty Montgomery Rosen and the late Richard A. Palmer.She was a receptionist for Southside Middle School and loved working with and nurturing children.She also loved animals. In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her grandmother, Elizabeth James ”Gamma” Palmer. In addition to her mother, surviving are her husband, Michael Meggs; her children, Hunter Dotson, Caleb Meggs, Kaitlin Dotson, Samantha Meggs, Grace Dotson and Harper Meggs; her grandmother, Mary Montgomery Register; her sister, Jennifer (Chris) Smathers; a number of nieces and nephews; a number of aunts and uncles and her special friends, The Russ Family. A Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 10, 2014, at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Florence Humane Society, P. O.
