Mary Ann Bennett

Mary Ann Bennett Florence, SC Mary Ann Bennett, 76, of Florence, passed away Sunday, November 16, 2014 in a local hospital after an illness. Mrs. Bennett was born in Marion, a daughter of the late Willie Lee Godbold and Mary Christmas Godbold. She was a former member of Grace Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother and provider who loved taking care of her family, gardening and cooking. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Lynn Mack Godbold. Mrs. Bennett is survived by her husband of 58 years, Richard Dallas Bennett; daughter, Phyllis (Gary) Bennett Blizzard; sons, Richard Dean Bennett and Timothy Lee Bennett; granddaughters, Paige Blizzard (Jody) Padgett, Katie Blizzard (Matt) Ward and Kelsy Bennett (Mackie) Watts; grandson, Chase Dean Bennett; great-grandchildren;Aynsley, Ally and Lilly Padgett and Olivia Ward. She is also survived by a sister, Virginia Godbold Calder, half-sister, Patty Nesbit (Randy) Newman, a half-brother, William Nesbit and a special friend, Teresa Streett. Funeral service will be held at 3:00 P.M. Thursday, November 20, 2014 at Oakdale Baptist Church, with burial following at Mount Hope Cemetery, directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
