Marolyn A. Pendell

Marolyn A. Pendell, 59, of Marion, passed away on Saturday, November 14, 2020. Mrs. Pendell was born a daughter of the late Dorothy Ethelene Amerson Freeman and James Walker Atkinson, Sr.She was a dental assistant and x-ray technician. Mrs. Pendell attended Lebanon Free Will Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, J. W. Atkinson and Mike Atkinson. Mrs. Pendell is survived by her husband, Gordon Christopher Pendell; daughter, Leslie Cooper Tallon (Dee) of Hartsville, SC; son, Daniel Luke Jeffords (Jaime) of Fayetteville, NC; step-sons, Phillip Pendell and Craig Pendell, both of Duluth, MN; step-daughter, Stephanie Gould (Ben) of Duluth, MN; grandchild, Thorin Gould; brothers, Coleman Atkinson of Effingham, Henry Atkinson of Hartsville, SC, Randy Atkinson of Effingham, Mac Atkinson of Effingham, Ralph Atkinson of Effingham, and Roger Atkinson of Florence; and sisters, Jewel Cagle and Ann Harris, both of Effingham, SC. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, November 18, 2020, at Lebanon Free Will Baptist Church.Burial will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Home. Family will receive friends from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM on Tuesday at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.Due to the current COVID-19 concerns, social distancing will be observed.
