Florence, SC Mark Wilson “Tweety” Sanders, 56, passed away on his birthday, April 5, 2016. He was born in Florence County, a son of the late James Alfred and Minnie Helms Sanders, Sr. He was preceded in death by his wife, Amy Kelly Sanders.Survivors include four sons, Aaron, Jordan, and Blake Sanders, all of Florence, and Connor Sanders of Darlington; a daughter, Casey Sanders of Florence; three brothers, Butch Wilson of Mechanicsville, VA, James Len Wilson of Midlothian, VA, and Scotty Wilson of Hopewell, VA; and a sister, Susie Miller of Powhatan, VA. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, James A. “Buddy” Sanders, Jr. and Bobby Sanders and three sisters, Elizabeth Hargrove, Ruth Walker, and Peggy Wilson. Mr. Sanders graduated from South Florence High School and attended Francis Marion University. He was a member of Friendship United Methodist Church and was employed by Pinkerton Security.Mr. Sanders served with the Army National Guard as a medic. Mark was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it.He was the happiest when he was cooking one of his famous recipes or had a fishing pole in his hand.Mark was a big family man and could go on for hours telling stories of his family and children.He was proud of the people that his children became.
