Mark Louis Horne

Mark Louis Horne, Sr., 50, of Florence, SC, passed away on Friday, May 23, 2014, at a local hospital. Mr. Horne was born in Florence, SC , a son of Isla Pearl Ransome Horne and the late Kenneth Louis Horne, Sr.He was a faithful servant, member and deacon of Eastside Christian Church.He served as a Chairman of The Brotherhood, volunteered for Meals On Wheels, and participated in weekly visitation with the Pastor.Mr. Horne also started the Food Bank at the church.Mark was an avid Carolina Gamecock fan (Go Cocks!). Surviving are his mother, Isla Pearl Ransome Horne; his son, Markus Horne (Rachel Roth) of St. Charles, MO; his brothers, Kenny (Susie) Horne of Florence, SC, Tony Horne of Leesburg, SC and Rodney (Susan) Horne of Atlanta, GA; his special friend, Chapel Isgett of Florence; his nephews, Brandon and Kenneth Allen Horne and Buster, his faithful companion. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 27, 2014, at Eastside Christian Church directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
