MARJORIE WHITE OWENS EFFINGHAM, SC MARJORIE WHITE OWENS, 71, of Effingham, passed away on Monday, October 21, 2013. She was born in Florence Co., SC a daughter of the late E.J. White and Clara Mae Blackwell White. She was preceded in death by her parents and by her first husband, Harry T. Kirven. Surviving are her husband, Elton L. Owens of Effingham; children, Marsha (Joe) Batista of Effingham and Jerry Kirven of Marion; step-children, Vanessa Marshall, Amber Baker, Heather Eaddy and Brooke Eaddy; grandchildren, Ethan Boseman, Jesse Batista, Courtney Wise and Rebecca Hodges; sisters, Ruth Rhodes, Virginia Hudson, Susie Lee and Kitty Douglas. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, PO Box 11454, Alexandria, VA22312. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, October 24, 2013 at Florence Memorial Gardens directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
