Florence

Marjorie “Ann” Breeden Hart, 83, passed away on Thanksgiving Day, in Florence, SC after a long battle with dementia. Ann was born in Morganton, NC on October 11, 1942 to Marjorie Turner Breeden and James Arthur Breeden. She is preceded in death by her devoted husband of 54 years, James C. Hart Jr, her brother Jimmy Breeden and her loving parents.

Ann was a beautiful person inside and out and was the most patient and loving wife and mother anyone could hope for. She loved to take care of and nurture her family and was adored by all who knew her. Ann was a talented artist from a young age and especially enjoyed painting in water colors. You could always find Ann in her yard, tending to her flowers, listening to the birds and walking among the trees. She loved her pets and doted on them like they were family. Up for any adventure, Ann would pack her bags and be ready to go at a moment's notice, especially if she was heading to the beach. Her favorite times were always when she was surrounded by family. Ann will always be remembered for her unconditional love, devotion, and selflessness.

Ann leaves behind her adoring children James Hart (Cathy), Linda Hart Temples (Joel), Becky Hart Docherty (Harrell) and Jenny Hart Davis (Chris), grandchildren Rachael Boyd (Sims), Graham Temples (Patricia), AJ Hart, Gatlin Docherty (Sarah), Jackson Davis, Palmer Docherty, Mei Mei Temples, Boone Davis and Mariah Docherty, as well as her great-grandchildren Joseph Conner, Nolan Conner, Leon Temples as well as RJ Ross, Hadley and Amelia Boyd, and her brother Steve Breeden. The family also wants to recognize her devoted and exceptional caregivers who became family, Teacia Bruce, Angela McIvers, Vivian Lewis, and Jane Warren.

A private graveside service will take place at a later time at the Florence National Cemetery where she will be laid to rest with her husband. Any memorials may be made to the Florence Area Humane Society, 1434 S. McCurdy Rd, Florence, SC 29506.
