Marion Sylvia McCallister Barnio Florence, SC Marion Sylvia McCallister Barnio, 87, of Florence, passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2012 in a local healthcare facility after an illness. Ms. Barnio was born in Kingstree, a daughter of the late Johnny and Edith Hall McCallister. She attended Tans Bay Baptist Church in Effingham. Ms. Barnio was a seamstress and loved tending to her chickens. Ms. Barnio is preceded in death by her parents; her son, Marion "Pedro" Oscar Barnio; her brother, Johnny McCallister; two sisters, Dora Lee and Kathline Floyd. Ms. Barnio is survived by her sons, Bobby "Bubba" (Carolyn) Barnio of Columbia,and Charles "Bud" (Linda) Barnio of Darlington; daughters, Elma Barrentine of Timmonsville, and Janie Peters of Summerville; her sister, Lucille Prosser of Ohio; 13 grandchildren;31 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11:30AM Friday, March 30, 2012 in the chapel of Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
