REVEREND MARION RAY SHAW TIMMONSVILLE, SC Reverend Marion Ray Shaw, 91, of Timmonsville, went home to be with his Lord on Tuesday, March 5, 2013. Reverend Shaw was born in Marion, a son of the late Thomas “Tom” Shaw and Lucille Williams Shaw.He was a veteran of the US Navy having served in World War II as a 3rd Class Petty Gunners Mate.He was a member of the 120 Club and the VFW.He was an ordained minister and pastored many churches during his lifetime.Reverend Shaw was Pastor Emeritus of Palmetto Street Church of God and Visitation Minister.He has been in ministry service since 1951. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, T. J. Shaw, Jr. and Carroll Shaw, and sisters, Mary Grace Spence, Louise Drew and Ethel Cheek. Surviving are his loving wife of 66 years, Louise Locklair Shaw; children, Betty Jean (David) Whitfield of Mt. Pleasant, and Michael Timothy (Ligia) Shaw of Florence; sisters, Alice McRain and Margaret Braddock, both of Marion; brothers, Billy Shaw, Harold Shaw, all of Florence, and Richard Shaw of Marion. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, March 8, 2013, at Palmetto Street Church of God. Burial will follow at Palmetto MemorialPark in Marion directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
