Marion Lee "Jack" Jackson

Marion Lee “Jack” Jackson, Jr., 66, of Florence, passed away on Monday, November 9, 2015. Mr. Jackson was born in Sumter, SC, a son of Marion Lee Jackson, Sr. and Jessie Hodge Jackson.He was a manager with BellSouth and retired in 2002 after thirty-three years of employment.He was the past President and Secretary for the Florence Amateur Radio Club (call sign N4JJ), past Master and Secretary of Flintville Lodge #158 AFM and had served on the Board of Trustees and Finance Committee at Southside Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, surviving are his brother, Wade (Tracy) Jackson; sisters, Susan (Elton) Cochran and Paige (Marty) Bright; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Jackson is predeceased by his wife, Brenda Herring Jackson. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 14, 2015, at Southside Baptist Church.Burial will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Southside Baptist Church Building Fund, 1356 Pineland Drive, Florence, SC29505.
