Mrs. Marie Clark Best Florence, SC Mrs. Marie Clark Best, 90, of Florence, passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at the McLeod Hospice House. Mrs. Best was born in Horry Co., a daughter of the late Issac Dewey Clark and Vencie Gerald Clark.She was a member of the Lamar First Baptist Church.Mrs. Best was married to the late William V. Best of Horry Co.They lived and farmed in Lamar for many years before Mrs. Best moved to Florence. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; sons, William L. “Brownie” Best, Robert “Bobby” Best and baby Kenneth Best; sister, Ruth Clark Sarvis and brothers, James W. Clark, Aaron “Al’ Clark and James M. Clark. Surviving are her daughter, Shirley B. Gustafson of Virginia Beach; brother, H.L. (Betty) Clark of Florence; daughters-in-law, Pat Best of Florence and Ruth Best of Florida; six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to the McLeod Hospice House, PO Box 100551, Florence, SC29502. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, December 19, 2014 at the Florence National Cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
