Maria Eugenia Perry

Maria Eugenia Lopez Perry, 87, of Florence, passed away on Saturday, April 2, 2016. Mrs. Perry was born in San Jose, Costa Rica.She taught in public schools for many years, authored a book and after retiring, taught at Francis Marion University. She was a member of Pisgah United Methodist Church. Surviving are her husband, Alan Repworth Perry; sons, Carlos (Lisa) Evans of Charlotte, NC, Andy (Pam) Evans of Florence, SC, Steve (Cindy) Perry and David (Sheridan) Perry, both of Lexington, SC; daughter, Melba Hawkins of Charleston, SC and eleven grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Carlos; and her sisters, Amanida, Narda, Adelita and Sole. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April; 4, 2016, at the Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel. Family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.
