Margaret Rose Taylor Hammond

Margaret Rose Taylor Hammond, 80, of Florence, passed away on Monday, July 2, 2018. Mrs. Hammond was born a daughter of the late Fred Robert Taylor and Ethel Pearl Harmon Taylor.She was a kindergarten teacher with South Side Free Will Baptist Church in Darlington.She received her Associate Degree in “Biblical Theology and Ministry” from ISOM Bible College at the age of 78.Mrs. Hammond was a member of Gospel Temple Worship Center and sang in the church choir.She enjoyed floral arranging and visiting shut-ins.Mrs. Hammond loved her family and her Lord. She is survived by her son, Gary Wayne Trail (Lesa); daughters, Shauna Curry (Clifford), Kimberly Jarrell (Gilbert) and Michelle Campbell (Mark); ten grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, John Phillip “Pete” Hammond, and six siblings. Funeral services will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 5, 2018, at Gospel Temple Worship Center directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Montgomery Memorial Park in London, West Virginia. Family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. on Thursday at the Church.
