Malcolm D. Williamson, Jr., 70, of Rhodes Lane, died Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at home. He was born August 8, 1945 in Horry Co, SC, a son of the late Malcolm D. and Madge Boothe Williamson. Mr. Williamson was a US Army Veteran, and was retired from Stone Container after more than 40 years of employment. He was an avid fan of the Clemson Tigers, NASCAR, and loved to spoil his dogs Coco, Storm, and Dre, and his cat Lexie. Survivors include his wife, Robin Williamson of the home; a son, Payne Parker of Florence; three daughters, Renee Williamson and Donna Rooks, both of Murrells Inlet and Merritt (Bryant) McNeill of Georgia; three sisters, Bonita (Frank) Shaw and Kizzie Shelley, both of Marion and Marilyn Jo Butler of Conway; grandchildren, Katelyn Rooks, Journey and Halen McNeill; a special nephew, Tony Shelley. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, November 19, 2015 at the Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be held in the Florence National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 PM prior to the service.
