M. Christine Garrick Roush

M. Christine Garrick Roush, 89, of Florence, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, February 1, 2014, at a local healthcare facility. Mrs. Roush was born in Orangeburg, SC, a daughter of the late Charles David Garrick and Annie Lee Houck Garrick.She was a long time member of Ebenezer Baptist Church and was active in the Senior Ladies Sunday School Class.She worked with Florence Restaurant Supply for a number of years.Mrs. Roush loved gardening and cooking.She also loved helping others and visiting her church family. Surviving are her husband, Roy Roush; her children, Spencer Harold (Daphne) Jones of Bessemer, AL, Dianne Jones (Albert S.) Hollingsworth of Anderson, SC, and Chris (Judy) Jones of Timmonsville, SC; her grandchildren, Spence Jones and Melissa Adams, both of Alabama, Garrick Jones of Timmonsville and Heather Biddy of Florence; and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 on Tuesday, February 4, 2014, at Ebenezer Baptist Church directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.Burial will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm on Tuesday at the Church.
