Lynn Quick Griffin

Lynn Quick Griffin, 59, of Effingham, SC passed away Saturday, January 7, 2017 after courageously battling cancer for several years. Mrs. Griffin was born in Marion, SC a daughter of Bobbie Mincey Bailey and the late Harold Kenneth Quick. Lynn was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. As dedicated as she was to her children, her grandkids were her whole world. Lynn is survived by her husband of 35 years, Joseph J. “Joe” Griffin, Jr.; her mother, Bobbie Mincey (T.C.) Bailey of Florence; two daughters, Jessica Griffin (Ron) Harris and Casey Griffin (Derek) Evans both of Florence; a son, Matthew Joseph Griffin of Florence; two grandchildren, Griffin Joshua Harris and Addison Layne Harris; her siblings, Donna (Rocky) Rietkovich, Ann Quick (Robert) Jones, Harold Kenneth Quick, Jr., Emily (Gary) Perdue, Dran (Sam) Epps, Danny (Cheryl) Bailey and Ernie (Nancy) Bailey; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, Harold Kenneth Quick and a niece, Angela Lynn Jackson. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at Lebanon Free Will Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Monday at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
