Lula Von Mcalister Baxley

Lula Von McAlister Baxley, 88, of Effingham, passed away on Wednesday, May 2, 2018, at home surrounded by her family. Mrs. Baxley was born a daughter of the late Edward Jeff McAlister and Myrtle McAlister.She was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Darris Reginald Baxley and her daughter, Carolyn Kennedy. Mrs. Baxley is survived by her sons, Larry R. Baxley (Judy) of Lake City and Glenn J. Baxley (Donna) of Timmonsville; daughter, Linda Cicora (Mike) of Gray, GA; eight grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 5, 2018, at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.Burial will follow at Carters Cemetery.
