LUDEAN CORNELIA WATKINS ZEIGLER Florence, SC Ludean Cornelia Watkins Zeigler, 77, of Florence died Sunday, August 28, 2011 at a local hospital after an illness. Mrs. Zeigler was born in Richmond County, NC, a daughter of the late Henry Nona Watkins and Anna Porter Watkins. She retired from Marlow Manufacturing and had been employed at Sears and Bell South.She was a charter member of Parkwood Presbyterian Church where she was a member of the Senior Adult Sunday School Class. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Zeigler was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Surviving are her husband of 59 years, Jack Clarence Zeigler, Sr. of Florence; 3 children, Elizabeth Ann (Greg) Purvis of Florence, US Army Col. Ret.Jack C . (Janice Lawhon) Zeigler, Jr. of Fayetteville, NC, and John Bural (Colleen Schuit) Zeigler of Travelers Rest; grandchildren, Joseph Clinton ( Laurie McLaughlin) Parks of Florence,John Austin (Christina Melton) Parks of Florence, Lauren Rebecca Zeigler of Raleigh, NC,Jack Clarence Zeigler, III, of Fayetteville, NC,Kerry M. Zeigler of Charleston, Kimberly Zeigler (Benjamin) Ray of Boone, NC, Shannon L. Zeigler and Ryan E. Zeigler, both of Travelers Rest; great-grandchildren, Clint Parks, Jr., Ellie Parks, Gracelynn Parks, and Sam Parks, all of Florence; sister, Dorothy Cole of Carthage, NC; brothers, B.A. Watkins of Rockingham, NC,and John Watkins of Greensboro, NC. Memorials may be made to Parkwood Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund, 2307 South Cascade Avenue, Florence, SC 29505. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, September 1, 2011 in the Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery.
