Lucille Margaret Hooks Hayes

Lucille Margaret Hooks Hayes, 82, of New Bern, North Carolina, passed away on Sunday, August 12, 2018. Mrs. Hayes was born in Florence Co., SC a daughter of the late Vance Hooks and Margaret Cottle Hooks.She was a member of Community Free Will Baptist Church in Florence, SC. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clarence Hayes; brothers, Ralph Hooks, Dan Hooks, Buck Hooks and sister, Carolyn Courtney. Surviving are her son, Richard Lee Britt of New Bern, NC and grandson, Brandon Lee Britt. Memorials may be made to Colonial Capital Humane Society, 1860 Old Airport Road, New Bern, NC 28562. The family will receive friends from 6:00 -8:00 pm on Friday, August 17, 2018 at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday in the Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel.Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery.
