Loyal Davis Poston

. Florence, SC Loyal Davis Poston, 84, died Thursday, April 7, 2016 at the McLeod Hospice House. He was born August 4, 1931 in Florence County, a son of the late Benjamin D. and Doretha Coree Powell Poston. Mr. Poston was retired from Service Motor Co. in Pamplico and Delta Mills, and was a member of the Pamplico Pentecostal Holiness Church. Survivors include his wife, Nora F. Poston of Florence; a daughter, Vanessa Chavis and her boyfriend, Gene Altman of Florence; and a grandson, Jeffrey M. Tyndall. He was preceded in death by a son, Loyal Danis “Dan” Poston, a grandson, Devan Legette Poston, 3 brothers, and 4 sisters. A funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 10, 2016, at Stoudenmire Dowling Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
