Loura Nell Ferrell Windham

Loura Nell Ferrell Windham, 67, of Florence, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, February 3, 2014. Mrs. Windham was born in Darlington County, SC, a daughter of the late Pelzor G. Ferrell and Margaret E. Fitch Ferrell.She was the owner and operator of Nell’s Housekeeping.Mrs. Windham was a former member of the Church of God of Prophecy in Hartsville and the Church of God of Prophecy in Florence and was a current member of West Florence Church of God.She was a piano player for her church, loved music and singing at the nursing homes and was a member of Southern Harmony. She was preceded in death by her parents and two beloved canine companions, Benji and Bobo. Surviving are her husband, Sammy Carol Windham; her brother, Willie J. Ferrell of Columbia; a number of nieces and nephews and her faithful canine companion, Little Bit. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm on Thursday, February 6, 2014, at the Church of God of Prophecy in Florence on Church Street.Burial will follow at Florence National Cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Family will receive friends from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm at the church on Thursday. Memorials may be made to the Church of God of Prophecy in Hartsville or to the West Florence Church of God in Florence.
