Louise Locklear Shaw of Timmonsville died peacefully Wednesday morning, April 13, 2016, at McLeod’s Hospice House. She was 92. Mrs. Shaw was born in Clio, South Carolina, the daughter of the late Grover Cleveland and Emma Clark Locklear. She was a member of the Palmetto Street Church of God, a member of the Senior Sunday School class, devoted member of the sanctuary choir and for many years a dedicated pastor’s wife. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, the Reverend Marion Ray Shaw; her brother, Grover Cleveland Locklear, Jr., and her sister, Nellie Mae Locklear. Mrs. Shaw is survived by her children, Michael Timothy Shaw of Timmonsville and Betty Benton of Lexington; three grandchildren, Jason Benton, Corey Whitfield and Amber Shaw and four great-grandchildren; Jonathan Whitfield, David Whitfield, III, Jonas Benton and Jillian Benton. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm. on Saturday, April 16, 2016, at Palmetto Street Church of God directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral. Burial will follow at Palmetto Memorial Gardens in Marion. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Saturday at the church.
