Louise O'Neal Hinds

Louise O’Neal Hinds, 84, of Florence, SC, passed away on Friday, January 1, 2016. Mrs. Hinds was born on September 12, 1931, in Darlington, SC, a daughter of the late Harvey F. O’Neal and Callie Irene Robertson Hutchinson.She was educated in the Darlington County School System, Carolina College of Commerce and Florence Business School.Mrs. Hinds was married for over 55 years to the late Richard Grady Hinds, a Florence Realtor and Home Builder, and Past Potentate of Omar Shrine Temple in Charleston, SC.Louise and her late husband owned Hinds Realty and Insurance Agency for many years and she later operated Village East Mobile Home Park.Mrs. Hinds was a member of All Saints Church, Pee Dee Shrine Club Auxiliary, DAV Auxiliary, and VFW Post 3181 Auxiliary.She resided at the Carolinian Retirement Home in Florence. Surviving are son, Eddie (Judy) Collins of Florence; step-daughter, Kathy H. (Ron) Graham of Florence; two grandchildren, Annette (Bucky) Rourke of Dillon and Will Collins, Jr. of Florence; Dillon; five great-grandchildren, Brandon Collins and Blake Collins, both of Florence, and Ellison Rourke, John Rourke and Priscilla Rourke of Dillon; and a step-grandchild, Beth H. (Matthew) Tumblin of Charleston, SC. In addition to her parents and her husband, she is also predeceased by her brother, Tommy O’Neal. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday at All Saints Church.Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
