Louise James Amerson

Louise James Amerson, 76, of Florence, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, May 5, 2020. Mrs. Amerson was born a daughter of the late Dorothy Harrell James and Charles Preston James.She was a member of Palmetto Street Church of God, enjoyed music and was a part of a family gospel group known as Crossroad Ministries for 19 years.She loved her grandchildren and spent a lot of quality time with them. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Donald L. Amerson; grandson, Rudi Lynch and brother, Charles “Charlie” James. Mrs. Amerson is survived by her sons, Mike Amerson (Tammie) and Todd Amerson (Lynn), both of Florence; daughter, Marie Lynch of Florence; 6 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; sister, Ann Jackson of Darlington and brother, Wayne James (Lola) of Hartsville. Due to the current COVID-19 concerns, a graveside service will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, May 9, 2020, at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery, 3061 Wesley Chapel Road, Lamar, SC, directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the cemetery. Memorials may be made to Palmetto Street Church of God, 3132 W Palmetto St, Florence, SC 29501.
