Cpl. Louis Thomas Williams, USMC (Retired), 34, of Florence, passed away on Sunday, August 13, 2017. Tom was born in Cincinnati, OH a son of Louis Frank Williams and Nancy Lucas.He was an owner at NewSpring Church where he was a volunteer with campus safety.He participated on the Semper Fi team and with the Wounded Warrior Project.He was a decorated US Marine Corps veteran having served 2 tours in Iraq ending his career in Meteorology. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Carolyn Lucas and Harold and Doris Williams. Surviving are his wife, Tracey Hughes Williams; mother; father and step-mother, Deborah “Debbie” Williams; grandfather, Thomas (Mary) Lucas; sisters, Ann Marie Hill and Jo (Mike) Haines; step-brother, Erik (Darci) Woodiwiss; step-sister, Heather (Dave) Goldstien; mother and father-in-law, Kenneth and Kathy Hughes; sister-in-law, Kassie Hughes; nieces and nephews, Josh, Drew, Molly, Brody, Alex and Joey; aunt, Carolyn Lucas; his fur babies, Paisly, Lola, Gabbie and Wilbur and family friend, Bev Stover. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, August 19, 2017 at NewSpring Church with the family receiving friends immediately following the service.A private burial will take place in the Florence National Cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
