Mrs. Loma Cornelia White Davis of Timmonsville, SC went home to Heaven on February 17, 2014, after a long illness. Loma was born March 2, 1932 in Timmonsville, SC to the late Dewey and Thelma Windham White. She attended Timmonsville High school and Carolina Business College. She was married to William Clayton Davis, Jr.and had three children who were the love of her life, Debbie Melton, Mitch Davis, and Clay Davis. She was the proud Grandmother of five grandchildren, Jon John, Bert John, Jason John, Dewey Duncan John and DeeDee John, and the most loving Great grandmother to Austen John.She was a loving and fun filled mother and grandmother, full of the joy of life and shared that love with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her son, Henry Mitchel Davis, her husband, parents, and four siblings, Katherine Ham, Donald White, Hugh White, & Marvin White . Survivors include two children, Deborah Dee Melton&son-in-law Jerry Lawrence Melton of Timmonsville, SC,son, William ClaytonDavis III of Jacksonville , FL. ; five grandchildren, Jon Mitchel John, Jason Thomas John, Dewey Duncan John, & Deborah Dee John all of Jacksonville FL. , Albert Lee John , Jr. of Savannah, GA. , one great-grandchild, Austen Lee John of Jacksonville, FL, one sister, Jo Ann Andrews of North Charleston and one brother Thad White of Florence, SC. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM, Wednesday ,February 19th, graveside at Byrd Cemetery in Timmonsville, SC. Officiating the service will be Pastor Dean Parker.
