Lola Irene Mixon

Irene Skipper Mixon, 77, of Florence, SC passed away Monday, October 8, 2018. Irene was born in Florence, SC a daughter of the late Bose Skipper and Tommy Louise Adams Skipper Jeffords. She was a member of Palmetto Street Church of God. Irene was a loving mother, grandmother and mother-in-law. She was a witty and sassy woman who enjoyed life. She is preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Margaret Gainey. Survivors include a son, Daniel “Danny” Harris Mixon (Jennifer) of Florence; three daughters, Paula Mixon Rowe (William), Melissa Mixon Jordan (Michael) and Pamela Mixon all of Florence; four brothers, John Skipper, Glenn Skipper, Tony Jeffords and Chris Jeffords; three sisters, Bonnie Boatwright, Barbara Strickland and Pat Harrington; seven grandchildren, Kara Varnadore (Tim), Candice Mixon, Mason Mixon (Kelley), Tyler Mixon, Kinsley Meyer (Cam), Brayden Rowe and Liam Williams; and one great-grandchild, Adalyn Grace Mixon. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 PM, Thursday, October 11, 2018 at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, October 12, 2018 at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Anderson Cemetery.
