Lois Mcpherson Galloway

Lois McPherson Galloway, 85, of Florence, SC, passed away on Thursday, April 27, 2017. Mrs. Galloway was born in Florence County, SC, a daughter of the late James Arthur McPherson and Chellie Kirven McPherson.She graduated from McClenaghan High School, and was employed with Southern Bell for ten years and retired in 1992 from South Carolina Department of Social Services after twelve years of service.Mrs. Galloway was a member of Florence Baptist Temple. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas H. Galloway; son-in-law, Andy McInville; brothers, Arthur Raymond McPherson, James Melvin McPherson and Seab Thomas McPherson; and sisters, Eunice M. Langston and Janie M. McPherson. Surviving are her daughters, Susan McInville, Delores Galloway; Tomi Jean (Greg) Cleveland; very special daughter, Rosalee “Tommy” Jones; grandchildren, Katy (Will) Duncan, Andy (Rita) McInville, Jack Cleveland, Grace Cleveland and Dr. Christine Cleveland; great-grandchildren, Jay Ramirez, Ansley Kate Ramirez, Caroline McInville, Maggie Lois McInville, Grayson Duncan and Maddie Duncan; brother, Charles Joe McPherson. Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 30, 2017, at the funeral home. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 1, 2017 at Florence Baptist Temple.Burial will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
