Lois Gibbs Ford

Lois Gibbs Ford, 97, of Florence, passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2021.She was the widow of the late John Billy Ford. Lois was the daughter of the late Bessie and Benjamin Gibbs of Timmonsville.She is survived by two children, Gerald (Gloria) Ford, and Shirley (Mike) Player, all of Florence; and a daughter-in-law, Dana Eskridge Ford of St. Marys, Georgia.She is also survived by six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son, Barry Dean Ford; two sisters, Evelyn Carter and Janie Mae Boyce; three brothers, Roy Gibbs, Grady Gibbs, and David Gibbs. A private graveside service and celebration of life will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Agape Hospice, 1516 W Palmetto Street, Florence, SC. Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home is serving the family.
